We were lucky enough to get all the Collins family together in the last week of the school holidays, at the beach! We took over the floor of the place we stayed at, with people constantly popping between the three units to share meals, play games, watch a few movies, and chat. Of course we also went to the beach! It was uncharacteristically cold for October, and a few days really windy, so the adults tried to stay out of the water, while the kids of course weren't too worried apart from a bit of shivering and blue lips.
The big cousins loved playing with the little ones, especially Heidi who is still a bit like a big doll.It was so much fun seeing them all have fun and get into boogy boarding and the rough surf. Mum and Dad loved seeing us all together and enjoyed it too.
When we needed a break from the beach we had a visit to Underwater World, where Dom took a shine to a BIG snake - pick who looks the most uncomfortable in this photo!
The kids loved the feely pool - starfish and sea cucumbers that they could touch.
The playground nearby was good fun, and the adults discovered the kid in themselves and had to have a go on this giddy seat - with about 2 turns I felt like the world was whizzing past at lightening speed and had trouble walking - try it if you see one, it is pretty funny.
I love this photo of Heidi after we found a crab - she and Dom just kept laughing and wanting to hold it but jumping around when it touched them. Dom spent most of his time running around pretending to be a motorbike or running into the water and back. He just loved the space.
We were lucky enough to catch up with Uncle Dave and my cousin Kerry and Adam on Kerry's birthday, so it was great spending the day with them. Now if you're wondering why there aren't more photos of Dom, I will share this little comment with you (said as I was carrying him to bed fairly late the first night Mum and Dad were there). Dom could see down the hall where Mum was taking a photo of some of the others and he said "NO Grandma, not more photos!!". Maybe it's a male trait?!

What a treat to have everyone together. Such special times for you and the kids.
