Happy Easter!! The excitement on Easter Saturday was at fever pitch in the house. After we left out some lettuce, a carrot and a bowl of water in case the easter bunny needed refreshments, the kids went to bed.
At 1pm, Dom came in so excited he had trouble speaking as he told me the Easter Bunny had left a WHITE Rabbit and EGGS under his bed. Once he established it wasn't yet 6am he went back to bed. Unfortunately this happened about 4 more times before 5.45, when Heidi woke up to discover her easter gifts. So then the fun began!
Claire got another half hour or so's sleep, and was happy to find the Easter bunny had remembered her too. She knows exactly what chocolate is - I am sure we didn't let chocolate pass Dom's lips till he was close to 2!
The happy family (still a little too early for Tim!).
In the afternoon, the kids checked the yabbie pots to find of all things, shrimp! It was very interesting for them.
Of course, we had to cook all seven of them up for a snack after lunch! Dom loved this part :)
And he liked shelling them and poking and prodding. They actually tasted quite nice, just like prawns but not as salty.
